The King now has a Queen.
The day has come. After 3 years of love, Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill and Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge have finally tied the knot!
"It was a perfect day," says Followill.
The couple exchanged vows in an intimate late-afternoon ceremony with just family in attendance at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California on Thursday, May 12th.
The bride wore a custom made strapless Vera Wang gown with layers of chantilly and corded lace appliqué and raw edge swirling chiffon detail at the back. The groom wore a Gucci suit.
I couldn’t be any happier for these two. Honestly, I do not give a damn about what they wore, I’m just really glad they finally did it. Don’t get me wrong, they are stunning. When I woke up today and first saw this, all I could manage to do was gasp, heave out a big sigh, and hug myself. Oh, how weddings make me feel blog.
This wasn’t your extremely hyped up wedding but anticipation has definitely been brewing among KOL fans (ahem, ladies) for quite awhile. And now here it is. I give them all my best wishes and I truly hope, as corny as it may sound, that it’s forever.
Congratulations to the lovely newlyweds!
ps. 3/4 of our beloved Followills are now happily married and partially living the settled life. That means… oh wait, does anyone know if Nacho is single? Haha ;)
Kings of Leon - Talihina Sky (dressing room)
Golden footage: (drunk) jam sessions, old school KoL style. I’ve never wanted to be in a particular room at a particular time this much.
I think it’s safe to say there’s three definite things going on in here:
- Caleb = legend as usual
- Nathan at the back = there are no words, love
- Ben Kweller’s little harmony at 2:54-2:57 is so beautiful and has been stuck in my head. It’s really short yet those 3 seconds add lightness to the song.
Overall this is truly an epic glimpse into the legends’ earlier days. Sing it, Caleb.
